Type 2 diabetes is most often considered an irreversible condition, but many people have been able to reverse it by following a low-carb, high-fat diet. Now the Noakes Foundation in South Africa, lead by Professor Tim Noakes, has received funding – about 350,000 US dollars – to conduct a trial investigating this.
