Is Coke Paying Dietitians to Tweet Against a Soda Tax?

When many tweets by dietitians show up argumenting against a soda tax, it sparks suspicion. Especially as they all seem to be on Coca-Cola’s payroll:

At least TV ads are easily identifiable as ads. But when some dietitians are selling out to Big Sugar by tweeting their talking points – for cash – it’s not very transparent at all. And it’s not very trustworthy. So I guess it’s quite typical behavior for Coke, trying to fool people by bribing nutrition experts.

Perhaps these dietitians should be legally required to include a #Itakesugarmoney hashtag, when tweeting for Coke?
