Did the recent Kevin Hall study refute or strengthen the insulin–carbohydrate model of obesity? Here’s another excellent perspective, from Harvard nutrition professor Dr. David Ludwig.

Far from falsifying ICM, Hall’s study supports it. A more accurate summary than the one he gave at the abstract session might be as follows: “We found preliminary evidence for an exceptional effect of a very-low-carbohydrate diet on energy metabolism.
